Project 05

Designing Your Future

An interactive media exhibit for the Georgia Tech Library’s Interactive Media Zone, using motion, audio, LED wall visuals, and touchscreen storytelling to introduce students to the College of Design.

Context

Creating a public-facing exhibit about design education.

Designing Your Future was created for the Georgia Tech Library’s Interactive Media Zone as a public-facing exhibit about the College of Design.

The exhibit needed to work in a large shared environment, communicate quickly to passing viewers, and invite deeper interaction through screens, motion, audio, and visual storytelling.

Experience Design

Designing for attention, movement, and public interaction.

The project considered how people encounter media in a library environment: walking past, pausing briefly, watching from a distance, or interacting directly with the touchscreen.

This required visual content that could function at multiple scales, from large LED wall motion graphics to smaller interface moments and supporting copy.

Visual System

Building a motion language across screens, sound, and space.

My work focused on digital content production, LED wall visual design, motion timing, animation testing, audio integration, video editing, research, and exhibit copy.

The visual system needed to feel energetic and educational while still fitting the library context and supporting the larger goal of explaining design pathways.

Development

Testing content across a large-scale interactive display environment.

Because the exhibit was displayed on large media surfaces, content had to be tested for legibility, pacing, timing, and how it felt when viewed from different positions in the space.

Iteration focused on making the content visually clear, rhythmically engaging, and understandable without requiring every viewer to interact directly.

Final Exhibit

A rotating public exhibit for the Georgia Tech Library.

The final exhibit was displayed in the Georgia Tech Library during the Spring semester and rotated alongside other Interactive Media Zone exhibits.

Designing Your Future demonstrates exhibit design, visual storytelling, digital production, motion design, interaction testing, and communication across public media environments.
